Vineyard Haven is looking very promising with placing first at three wins last racing season for the Champagne at Belmont Park, the Maiden at Calder, and the Hopeful at Saratoga. He took third at the Sanford in Saratoga as well. This young colt means business and shouldn't be underestimated.
Vineyard Haven carries plebeian blood from his dam’s side and is the paternal grandson to the great Champion Forty Niner and has surprised many with his speed just like little Speedball Aristides did at the inaugural running of Kentucky Derby. Maybe there’s a greater surprise in store this racing season at the 135th running of the internationally acclaimed Kentucky Derby.

He is the trainer of such champions as Electrocutionist, Ramonti, and Lammtarra, winner of the Epson Derby-King George-Arc triple.

Vineyard Haven is Godolphin owned and bred by Lynne Scace who happened into the business quite by accident. Her friend needed a ride to work one day. She happened to be a hot-walker at the track, and before she knew it Lynne was involved at the track as well and has made quite a promising career in the racing industry ever since.
